Ralph D Lundy, Jr
Ralph D. Lundy, Jr. has been the Head Men's Soccer Coach at the College of Charleston for 20 years. During his career, he has guided Charleston to four national tournament appearances. In 2004, the Cougars captured the Southern Conference Championship and a bid to the NCAA Men's College Cup, advancing to the 2nd round. Charleston finished the season with a a 17-6-1 record and a national ranking of 20th in the final NSCAA Division I National Poll. Prior to the 2004 season, the Cougars competed in the NCAA Division I National Championships three consecutive years ('94, '95, '96), highlighted by advancing to the NCAA quarterfinals in 1994. Coach Lundy's teams have been composed of camp veterans. The 2004 team had 12 former RLSA campers. Lundy has coached 18 All-Americans, 9 US National Team players and has amassed over 350 wins. He is currently a member of the USYSA Region III coaching staff.
Coach Lundy is a Marine Corps veteran and is married to the former Elizabeth Knight of York, SC. They have three children -- Harper Elizabeth, Ralph III, and Lettie Rebecca. |
